Brake Pedal Assembly Overview

CAUTION!
The path of the brake pedal must not be shortened via extra floor mats.

Grease all bearing areas using grease (G 000 602) before assembling.





1 Mounting bracket

2 Nut, 25 Nm

Self-locking.

Always replace after removal.

3 Brake light switch (F)

Includes the brake pedal switch

On vehicles from 12.11.05, the brake light switch is located on the master cylinder. Refer to --> [ Brake Light Switch, from 12.11.05 ] Brake Light Switch, from 12.11.05.

Clip the brake pedal at the pressure rod of the brake booster before installing the brake light switch. Refer to --> [ Hold the ball head of the push rod in front of the mounting and push the brake pedal in the direction of the brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly. ] Brake Pedal from Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting.

Lubricate the plunger head with polycarbamide grease (G 052 142 A2).

Adjust the brake light switch.

For the ball head of the brake servo push rod.

10 Nut, 25 Nm

Self-locking.

Always replace after removal.
