Backrest Cover and Upholstery, Sedan

• Removal and installation of components is described for right backrest. The same instructions apply for removal and installation of components for left backrest.

Removing

Vehicles with folding armrest storage unit

- Remove storage unit with center armrest. Refer to --> [ Storage Unit with Center Armrest ] Storage Unit With Center Armrest.

All vehicles

- Remove seat bench. Refer to --> [ Seat Bench, Sedan ] Seat Bench, Sedan.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to --> [ Backrest ] Backrest.

- If present, lock the backrest control with latch - 1 -.

- Press corresponding button in headrest guide and pull headrest - 2 - out of backrest.

• Use a screwdriver to release button at the right headrest guide.

- Press side locking mechanisms - arrows - and release belt extraction panel - 3 - from mounts.

• Belt extraction panel - 3 - has a one-time locking mechanism and therefore must be replaced when installing.

- Press side locking mechanisms inward and pull cover - 4 - out of backrest.

- Using a screwdriver, pry all profiles - 5 - out of mounts - 6 - on rear side of backrest along the circumference.





- Roll up cover on the sides.

• Carefully pry cover - 3 - over the headrest guide so that cover is not damaged.

- Using a small screwdriver, press apart side ribs of mounts - 1 - and pull out grip channels - 2 -.

- Release cover - 3 - and upholstery - 4 - from backrest frame - 5 -.





Installing

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
