Molded Headliner, Wagon

Removing

Vehicles with panorama sunroof

- Open the panorama sunroof.

- Switch off ignition.

- Slide wedge (T10039/1) between frame - 1 - and headliner - 2 -.

- Separate frame around circumference of headliner in - direction of arrow - using lever (T10039).





Vehicles with screen separator wall

- Remove the screen separator wall bracket - 3 - :

• Vehicles with standard roof --> [ Screen Separator Wall Bracket, Vehicles without Panoramic Sunroof ] Service and Repair

• Vehicles with panorama sunroof --> [ Screen Separator Wall Bracket, Vehicles with Panoramic Sunroof ] Service and Repair

All vehicles

- Remove roof end strip. Refer to --> [ Roof End Strip, Wagon ]

- Remove upper A-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to --> [ Upper A-Pillar Trim ] Pillar and Side Trim.

- Remove upper B-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to --> [ Upper B-Pillar Trim ] Pillar and Side Trim.

- Remove C-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to --> [ C-Pillar Trim, Sedan ] Pillar and Side Trim.

- Remove D-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to--> [ D-Pillar Trim ] Pillar and Side Trim.

- Remove lights and switches in headliner.

- Remove left and right sun visors - 1 -. Refer to --> [ Sun Visor ] Sun Visor.

- Remove the two bolts - 4 - (2 Nm).

- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof) - 2 -. Refer to --> [ Roof Grab Handles ] Service and Repair.

- Lower headliner slightly and (depending on vehicle equipment) disconnect wiring harnesses from headliner.

- Lower the front seat backrests all the way back.

- Remove the headliner through the opened rear lid.





Installing

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
