Removing

- Open rear lid.

- Remove rear lid trim..

- Disconnect harness connectors - 1 - and pull line - 2 - with rubber grommet out of rear lid.





- Loosen hex nuts - 3 - at left and right lid hinges (do not unscrew completely).

• A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Remove gas-filled struts - 4 - at left and right on rear lid. Refer to => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- Remove hex nuts - 3 - and remove rear lid.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening specification of hex nuts for rear lid: 22 Nm

Adjusting rear lid. Refer to => [ Adjusting Rear Lid ] Adjusting Rear Lid.

• Before the rear lid is closed, a function test of the unlocking components must be performed.
