Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing
• The clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing are a single unit and are replaced together.
Removing
• Remove the transmission.
- Pull the circlip - 2 - up using a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the breather assembly - 4 - from the slave cylinder - 1 -.
- Remove the bolts - arrows -.
- Remove the clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing - A -.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:
• The slave cylinder bolts may only be tightened in small increments.
Otherwise, there is the danger that the tabs for the bolts could break off.
- Install and tighten the slave cylinder with release bearing bolts => [ (Item 4) Bolt ] Clutch Release Mechanism Overview.

- Check the O-ring - 3 - on the clutch slave cylinder for damage.
- Install the breather assembly - 4 - on the connection on the clutch slave cylinder - 1 - until the circlip - 2 - clicks into the place.
- To check, pull on the breather assembly.
• Install the transmission.
- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to => [ Clutch System, Bleeding ] 02Q Transmission.
