Rear Outer Seat Belts







Rear Outer Seat Belts

Removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle is described here. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.

Removal

- Remove seat bench. Refer to => [ Seat Bench ] Seat Bench.

- Remove side upholstery:

With rear side airbags. Refer to=> [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag ] Side Upholstery with Side Airbag.

Without rear side airbags. Refer to => [ Side Upholstery without Side Airbag ] Side Upholstery without Side Airbag.

- Remove C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-pillar Trim ] C-pillar Trim.

- Remove the rear shelf. Refer to => [ Rear Shelf ] Rear Shelf.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - (40 Nm) and remove seat belt guide - 2 - from body.

Vehicles with Belt Tensioner

- Disconnect vehicle battery.


Electrostatic discharges can lead to an unintended deployment of the airbag. Therefore, mechanic must electrostatic discharge him-/herself before disconnecting harness connector. This is done, for example, by briefly touching the chassis or door striker pin.

- Disconnect wiring harness - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt - 4 - (40 Nm) and remove automatic belt retractors - 5 - from body - arrow -.

Vehicles without Belt Tensioner

- Remove the bolt - 6 - (40 Nm) and remove automatic belt retractors - 7 - from body - arrow -.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
