Clutch Release Mechanism Overview
1 Transmission
2 Input Shaft Seal
• Replacing, refer to => [ Input Shaft Seal ] Input Shaft Seal.
3 Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing
• One component and can only be replaced together.
• Do not wash the bearing, just wipe it off.
• If the bearing is noisy, replace it together with the slave cylinder.
• Divided supply line on some slave cylinders, refer to.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.
4 Bolt
• 12 Nm, without locking compound (slave cylinder with metal housings only).
• 15 Nm, with locking compound.
• Always replace
• Quantity: 3
• Carefully tighten diagonally in small stages so that the slave cylinder bolt eyelets do not break off.
5 O-ring
• Installed onto the line connection.
• Install with brake fluid.
• Allocation, refer to the parts catalog.
