High Pressure Pump with Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276) Overview
High Pressure Pump with Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276) Overview
The fuel system is under pressure! Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, the pressure must be reduced to a residual pressure.
• Reducing the high side pressure. Refer to => [ High Side Pressure, Reducing ] High Side Pressure, Reducing.
1 - Roller Tappet
• Remains inserted in the cylinder head after removing the high pressure pump, removable.
2 - O-ring
• Always replace
3 - High Pressure Pump
• An electrical fuel pump located in the fuel tank supplies fuel to the mechanical high pressure pump at a pressure of approximately 6 bar.
• Make sure dirt does not enter the fuel system when installing the high pressure pump.
• The fuel system must be pressureless, releasing fuel pressure, refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Fuel Supply.
• Do not install fuel lines under tension.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Pump ] High Pressure Pump.
4 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276)
5 - Hole in Cylinder Head for the High Pressure Pump
6 - Fuel Injector
• Replace O-rings
• Note the correct installed position.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Injectors ] Fuel Injectors.
7 - Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40)
8 - Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)
9 - Bolt
• M6 threads = 10 Nm
• M8 threads = 20 Nm
• Always replace
10 - Connection for the Fuel Line from the Fuel Tank
11 - Connection for the Fuel Line to the Fuel Rail
• 22 Nm
• Always replace
