Transmission Fluid, Draining and Filling

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051)

• Adapter for Oil Filling (VAS 6262 A)

• Adapter for Filling ATF Oil (VAS 6262/2)

- Turn off the engine.

- Remove the plug - A -.






- Always replace the seal - B -.

- Remove the overflow tube - C -.

- Drain the transmission fluid.

- Reinstall the overflow tube - C -. Refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Specifications.

- Install the adapter for oil filling (VAS 6262/2) hand tight to the transmission pan.






- Shake the bottles before opening.

- Read the information regarding the pipe before attaching the adapter for oil filling (VAS 6262 A) to the fluid container. Refer to => [ Shortening the Pipe on the : ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Adding.

- Fill with 3 liters of transmission fluid.

- Reinstall the plug - A - with a new seal - B - and tighten it hand tight.






- Start the engine, shift through all selector lever positions, you must remain in each position approximately 10 seconds.

- Check the transmission fluid level and add fluid, if necessary. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Adding ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Adding.
