Noise Generator Overview

• Charge Air Pipe from the noise generator removing and installing. Refer to => [ Charge Air Pipe from Noise Generator ] Charge Air Pipe from Noise Generator.

• The noise generator is not installed on all vehicles. As of 04.09, the noise generator is replaced by the structure-borne sound actuator (R214). Refer to => [ and Overview ] Structure-Borne Sound Actuator (R214) and Structure-Borne Sound Control Module (J869) Overview.

3 Plenum Chamber Bulkhead

4 Hood

• For the duct to the plenum chamber bulkhead.

5 Charge Air Pipe

• Connecting and disconnecting, refer to => [ Charge Air Hose and Pipe, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Charge Air Hose and Pipe, Disconnecting and Connecting.

6 Hose Clamp

7 Charge Air Hose

8 Bolt

• 8 Nm

9 Spacer Sleeve

10 Rubber Bushing

11 Noise Generator

• Before removal, remove the cover => [ (Item 1) Cover ].

12 Bracket

• For the noise generator.

13 Nut
