Removal and Replacement

Fuel Level Sensor

• Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with a changed fuel level sensor.

Removing, Old Version

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

- Release the electrical connectors - arrows - and remove the electrical wires - 1, 2 and 3 -.





- Lift the retaining tabs - 4 and 5 - using a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor downward and off in the - direction of the arrow -.

Installing, Old Version

- Install the fuel level sensor into the guides on the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

- Connect the electrical connectors and check for secure locking.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

Removing, New Version

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and simultaneously upward.





- Release the electrical connectors and remove the electrical wires.

Installing, New Version

- Connect the connectors and check for secure locking.

- Install the fuel level sensor into the guide in the fuel delivery unit and press down until engagement.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.
