Halogen Headlamp Bulbs, Replacing

Application and Safety Notes


If assembly work is performed on the headlamps, note the following:

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Additional information

Illustration depicts the left headlamp as installed.






The right headlamp bulb is replaced is the same way.

The low beam lamp and the turn signal lamp are located behind the housing cover - A -.

The high beam lamp and the parking lamp are located behind the housing cover - B -.

Headlamps are equipped with One Touch System, meaning the lamps can be loosened and removed using a handle.

For reasons of clarity, the headlamps are depicted in the removed state in the following work descriptions.

DTC Recognition and Display

Lamps can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051A) for fault finding.
