- Remove the operating element - item 3 -.
- Warm the operating element in a coolant bath.
Opens at: approximately 75 °C (167 °C)
Stops opening at: approximately 85 °C (185 °F)
Opening travel: approximately 5 mm

Arrow on bottom part of thermostat points to heater core.
Bypass thermostat for coolant circuit turbocharger:
Arrow on bottom part of housing points to auxiliary coolant pump (V50).
