Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Table

NOTE:
- following list contains all malfunctions that can be recognized by Airbag Control Module J234 and can be displayed and printed out by V.A.G 1551 or VAS 5051 malfunctions are listed in order according to their 5-digit DTC numbers.
- DTC numbers appear only on print-out.
- Some of DTC texts listed are displayed only on VAS 5051. In this case, only Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is printed out on V.A.G 1551.
- possible malfunctions is dependent on respective vehicle equipment.
- Before replacing a component shown as faulty, check wiring and connections to component as well as Ground (GND) connections according to wiring diagram.
- Check all harness connectors at relay carrier for secure fitting.
- After repairs, DTC memory must always be checked again using Scan Tool (ST) V.A.G 1551 or VAS 5051 and erased.
- DTC type may also appear in DTC table.
