CLUTCH: CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE

(a) Slide the clip and remove the clutch reservoir tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly.





HINT
Use a container to collect the fluid.

3. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

(a) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

4. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Push the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis upward and release it toward the left side of the vehicle.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the clutch master cylinder assembly.





5. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Measure the dimension A as shown in the illustration before loosening the lock nut.

(b) Loosen the lock nut and remove the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis from the push rod.

NOTICE:
When loosening the lock nut, be sure to hold the clevis in place by its square portion.

(c) Remove the lock nut from the push rod.
