Removal (from 07/2011)

STEERING GEAR / LINKAGE: STEERING GEAR (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. POSITION FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

2. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

Removal (from 07/2011)

3. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the No. 1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly from the manual steering gear.

4. REMOVE MANUAL STEERING GEAR

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and the manual steering gear from the front suspension crossmember.





NOTICE:
Keep the nut from rotating while turning the bolt.
