Removal

METER: COMBINATION METER: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH

(a) Remove the screw and the bolt.

(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

(c) Disengage the claw and the 9 clips.

(d) Remove the air hose, disconnect the connector, and then remove the lower instrument panel finish panel LH.

5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

(b) Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

(d) Disengage the claw and remove the steering column cover upper.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Smart Key System) Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/ Smart Key System) Removal

9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL NO.1

(a) Remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the guide and the 4 claws, and then remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

10. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Using the tilt and telescopic functions, fully lower and extend the steering wheel.

(b) Remove the 4 screws.

(d) Disengage the wire harness from the combination meter assembly.

(e) Remove the combination meter assembly as shown in the illustration.
