DESCRIPTION
This is the circuit that the multi-media interface ECU used to supply power to devices connected to the USB jack of the stereo jack adapter. This diagnosis procedure is for when a USB device or "iPod" cannot charge.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
HINT
A new device can be recognized after the ignition switch is turned off and then turned to ACC.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
(d) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.
OK:
USB device or "iPod" charges.
NG -- INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
OK -- USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE
2. INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
(a) Disconnect the stereo jack adapter connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE STEREO JACK ADAPTER Removal
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - STEREO JACK ADAPTER)
(a) Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
