Engine Immobiliser System (w/o Smart Key System)





ENGINE IMMOBILISER: ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM (w/o Smart Key System): TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER

(a) Disconnect the E25 amplifier connector and measure the resistance between the terminal of the wire harness side connector and body ground.









If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(b) Reconnect the E25 amplifier connector and measure the resistance and voltage of each terminal of the connector.





If the result is not as specified, the amplifier may have a malfunction.

(c) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

(1) Waveform 1 (Reference)









(2) Waveform 2 (Reference)









2. CHECK TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the E15 ECU connector and measure the resistance and voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connector.









If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(b) Reconnect the E15 ECU connector and measure the voltage of each terminal of the connector.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

(c) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

(1) Waveform 1 (Reference)









(2) Waveform 2 (Reference)









(3) Waveform 3 (Reference)









(4) Waveform 4 (Reference)









3. CHECK ECM (for 2AR-FE)

HINT
The values listed under "Specified Condition" are reference values. Because waterproof connectors are used for ECM, inspections can not be performed with the connectors connected.









(a) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

4. CHECK ECM (for 2GR-FE)

HINT
The values listed under "Specified Condition" are reference values. Because waterproof connectors are used for ECM, inspections can not be performed with the connectors connected.
