DESCRIPTION

* When the window lock switch on the multiplex network master switch is in the LOCK position, the front passenger, rear LH and rear RH power window switches on each door cannot operate.

* The multiplex network master switch assembly sends UP/DOWN signals to each multiplex network switch assembly to operate each power window regulator motor from the multiplex network master switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the multiplex network master switch with the connector still connected.





(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the H6, J2, I2 and G6 connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
