Removal (from 12/2010)

BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
Release the vacuum from the booster by depressing the brake pedal several times. Then remove the brake master cylinder from the brake booster.

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

3. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and cowl top panel outer from the body.

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal (from 12/2010)

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE Removal (from 12/2010)

8. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)

9. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Remove the brake pedal return spring.





10. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

(a) Remove the clip and push rod pin.





11. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE

(a) Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster assembly.





12. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly from the body.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines.

13. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET

(a) Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.





14. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Loosen the lock nut, and remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut.
