B1244 - Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when failure in the light sensor circuit is detected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

Body (Body ECU)





OK:

Normal condition listed above is displayed.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)

OK -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the automatic light control sensor connector and D7 connector of the multiplex network body ECU.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

(a) Inspect automatic light control sensor Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

OK:

Automatic light control sensor is normal.

NG -- REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

OK -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
