Removal





AUDIO / VIDEO: RADIO ANTENNA CORD: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

4. REMOVE STEERING PAD Removal

5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag) Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

23. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) Removal

24. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Removal

25. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

26. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

27. DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY Removal

28. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

29. REMOVE RADIO WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the radio wire connector.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the bolt.





(d) Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the radio wire sub-assembly.

30. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

36. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

52. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH Removal

53. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

69. REMOVE SIDE DECK TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Removal

70. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Removal

96. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Peel the strips of the tape used to secure the antenna cord only to the extent that allows removal of the antenna cord.

HINT
Tape is not available as a supply part. Try to leave as much tape as possible on the roof headlining so that the tape can be reused.

(b) Pull out the antenna cord from the slit and then remove the antenna cord from the roof headlining.





97. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Peel the strips of the tape used to secure the antenna cord only to the extent that allows removal of the antenna cord.

HINT
Tape is not available as a supply part. Try to leave as much tape as possible on the roof headlining so that the tape can be reused.

(b) Pull out the antenna cord from the slit.

(c) Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the antenna cord from the roof headlining.
