(A240L, A241H/O/D Control System)




1. INSPECT O/D CIRCUIT
a. Turn on the ignition switch.
b. Confirm that an operation sound of the O/D solenoid can be heard, if the main switch is repeatedly turned ON and OFF.

2. INSPECT O/D SOLENOID




a. Disconnect the solenoid connector.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal 1 and 2.

Resistance: 11 - 15 ohm




c. Apply battery voltage between terminal 1 and 2. At this time, confirm that a solenoid operation sound is heard.
If not, replace the solenoid.
d. Connect the solenoid connector.







3. INSPECT O/D MAIN SWITCH
a. Remove the center console box.
b. Using an ohmmeter, check that the continuity of the terminals 1 and 3 for each switch position,
If not, replace the switch.
c. Install the center console box.




4. (A240L) INSPECT WATER THERMO SWITCH
a. Disconnect the thermo switch connector.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal 1 and body ground.

Resistance: Coolant temperature
Below 43 °C (109 °F) 0 ohm
Above 55 °C (131 °F) infinity ohm

c. Connect the thermo switch connector.
