Installing Tire and Wheel Assembly

NOTE: For additional information see Tightening Notes. Service Notes

CAUTION
Before re-installing the wheels, remove any build up of corrosion on the wheel mounting surface and disc mounting surface by scraping and wire brushing. Installing wheels without good metal-to-metal contact at the mounting surfaces can cause wheel nuts to loosen. This can lead to a wheel coming off while the vehicle is moving, possibly causing loss of control.

INSTALL
1. Wheel and tire assembly in position on the hub/rotor, and lug nuts installed loosely.
2. Turn the wheel until one nut is at the top of the bolt circle. Tighten the nut just snug.

Lug Nut Torque Patterns:

3. Snug up the remaining nuts criss-cross to minimize runout.

TIGHTEN
- Nuts to 76 ft/lbs

- Tighten evenly and alternately to avoid excessive runout.
