Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair




CVT Fluid Cooler Removal and Installation

NOTE:

Required amount of CVT fluid to refill is 0.2 liters (0.42 / 0.35 US/Imp pt.) after replacing the CVT fluid cooler.

Removal

1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2) Disconnect CVT fluid cooler No.1 hose (1) and No.2 hose (2).
3) Remove CVT fluid cooler bolts (5), and then remove CVT fluid cooler (3).
4) Remove fluid cooler bracket (4), if necessary.






Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following.

- Tighten CVT fluid cooler bracket bolts in numerical order ("1" - "2") shown in figure.

Tightening torque
CVT fluid cooler bracket bolt* (a): 25 Nm (2.5 kgf-m, 18.5 lbf-ft)





- Tighten CVT fluid cooler bolts (1) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
CVT fluid cooler bolt (a): 13 Nm (1.3 kgf-m, 9.5 lbf-ft)





- Clamp clamps securely.
- Refill CVT fluid. Removal and Replacement
- After installation, check CVT fluid leakage each connection.
