A/C Compressor Assembly Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to "Recovery" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
2) Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
3) Remove right side engine undercover.
4) Remove accessory drive belt. Removal and Installation
5) Disconnect magnet clutch connector (1).
6) Disconnect suction hose (3) and discharge hose (4) from A/C compressor (2).

NOTE:
Cap open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of system.

7) Remove A/C compressor mounting bolts (5), and then remove A/C compressor.






Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

- Apply specified compressor oil to new O-ring

Compressor oil: 99000-99022-00E (Compressor oil (DH-PS, 250cc))

- Tighten A/C compressor mounting bolts in numerical order ("1" through "3") to specified torque as shown.

Tightening torque
A/C compressor mounting bolt (a): 25 Nm (2.5 kgf-m, 18.5 lbf-ft)





- If A/C compressor is replaced, pour new compressor oil referring to "Replenishing Compressor Oil" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
- Evacuate and charge A/C system referring to "Evacuation" and "Charge" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
