Circuit Description

Refer to "Circuit Description" under ESP Warning Light Does Not Come ON after Pressing Engine Switch to Change the Ignition Mode of Keyless Push Start System to "ON ESP(R) Warning Light Does Not Come ON after Pressing Engine Switch to Change the Ignition Mode of Keyless Push Start System to "ON".

Troubleshooting

1. ESP(R) control module connector check

Check for proper connection to ESP(R) control module connector.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Connect connector securely.

2. DTC check for ESP(R)

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is there any DTC(s)?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. ESP(R) control module power supply and ground circuit check

Check ESP(R) control module power supply circuit and ground circuit. ESP Control Module Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good combination meter and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
If ESP(R) warning light remains ON, substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module and recheck DTC. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
NO -
Repair ESP(R) control module power supply and ground circuit.
