DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
- Be sure to troubleshoot first unexpected DTCs previously detected in "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- DTC P0031, P0032 or P0134 is not detected (for DTC P0131, P0132 or P2237).
- DTC P0031 or P0032 is not detected (for DTC P0134).
1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2) Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. DTC check
Is there any DTC(s) other than P0131, P0132, P0134 and P2237?
YES -
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.
NO -
Go to Step 3.
3. A/F sensor signal circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "C01", "E01" and A/F sensor connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01", "E01" and A/F sensor connectors.
Check the following points.
- Resistance of "A3" and "A4" circuits: less than 1 ohms
- Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground: infinity
- Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits terminal and each terminal at A/F sensor connector: infinity
- Voltage of "A3" and "A4" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. DTC recheck
Replace A/F sensor. Service and Repair
Perform DTC confirmation procedure and check DTC.
Is DTC P0131, P0132, P0134 and P2237 still detected?
YES -
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
End.
