DTC Confirmation Procedure
WARNING:
If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.
- Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
- Perform the test extremely carefully.
- Perform the road test using 2 persons, a driver and an assistant.
NOTE:
Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- Battery voltage >= 11 V
1) Connect scan tool with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF".
2) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
3) Drive vehicle for 5 sec. at throttle opening 30% or more checking the opening with scan tool.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. OCV drive circuit and OCV ground circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "C01", "E01" and OCV connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01", "E01" and OCV connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
- Resistance of "A1" and "B1" circuits: less than 1 ohms
- Resistance between "A1" circuit and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "B1" circuit and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "A1" circuit terminal and each terminal at OCV connector: infinity
- Voltage of "A1" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
- Voltage of "B1" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. OCV check
Check OCV. OCV Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES -
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Replace OCV.
