Removal and Replacement
Wheel (with Tire) Removal and Installation
Removal
1) Loosen wheel nuts by approximately 180° (half a rotation).
2) Hoist vehicle.
3) Remove wheel with tire.
Installation
Wheel nuts must be tightened in sequence and to proper torque to avoid bending wheel or brake disc as shown in the figure.
WARNING:
If there is any buildup of corrosion on the mounting surfaces of the wheel and brake drum / disc, the wheel nuts may work loose and the wheel may fall off the axle. This could lead to an accident.
Remove any buildup of corrosion from the mounting surfaces of the wheel and brake drum / disc.
NOTE:
- Use the designated tire and wheel with tire pressure sensor for the vehicle with TPMS. In case of using any unspecified tire and wheel without tire pressure sensor, keyless start control module flashes ON and OFF the low tire pressure warning light.
- In case of using the designated tire and wheel with tire pressure sensor, register its tire pressure sensor code with keyless start control module after its installation on the vehicle.
