DTC Confirmation Procedure

P0847 / P0848

NOTE:

- If other DTC than P0847 or P0848 is newly detected during this "DTC Confirmation Procedure", troubleshoot the newly detected DTC in first.
- Confirm that the following conditions are met in this procedure.

- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
- CVT fluid temperature at engine start ≥ -20 °C (-4 °F)

1) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON", and leave ignition mode in "ON" for 10 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting

1. Was "CVT System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to CVT System Check CVT System Check.
2. Secondary pressure sensor signal circuit and ground circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "C142", "E19" and "E20" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C142", "E19" and "E20" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "A2" and "C1" circuits: less than 1
Resistance of "A2" circuit between "C142" connector and ground: infinity
Resistance between "A2" circuit terminal and each terminal at "C142" connector: infinity
Voltage of "A2" and "C1" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. Secondary pressure sensor check
Connect "C142", "E19" and "E20" connectors.
Check voltage between "A2" circuit and ground. Inspection of TCM and Its Circuits
Is it in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Replace secondary pressure sensor (CVT assembly). CVT Assembly Dismounting and Remounting
