DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

- If other DTC than P0641 is newly detected during this "DTC Confirmation Procedure", troubleshoot the newly detected DTC in first.
- Confirm that the following conditions are met in this procedure.

- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
- DTC P0842 or P0847 is not detected.

1) Drive vehicle at more than 20 km/h (12 mile/h) for 10 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "CVT System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to CVT System Check CVT System Check.
2. Sensor power supply voltage check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "C142" connector.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C142" connector.
If connections are OK, push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check that voltage between "B1" circuit and ground is 5 V.
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. Sensor power supply circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "E19" and "E20" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "E19" and "E20" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "B1" circuit: less than 1
Resistance between "B1" circuit and ground: infinity
Resistance between "B1" circuit and each terminal at "C142" connector: infinity
Voltage of "B1" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. Sensor ground circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "E19" and "E20" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "E19" and "E20" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "C1" circuit: less than 1
Resistance of "C1" circuit is infinity between "C142" connector and ground: infinity
Resistance between "C1" circuit terminal and each terminal at "C142" connector: infinity
Voltage of "C1" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Replace primary pressure / secondary pressure sensor (CVT assembly). CVT Assembly Dismounting and Remounting
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
