DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".

- 10 V < Battery voltage < 16 V

- ECT at engine started < 100 °C (212 °F)

- A/C switch: OFF

1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2) Keep engine at idle speed until engine coolant temperature reaches 107.5 °C (225.5 °F) or more.

DTC Troubleshooting

1. Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. Radiator cooling fan relay No.3 power supply circuit (coil side) check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove radiator cooling fan relay No.3.
Check for proper terminal connection to radiator cooling fan relay No.3 connector.
If connections are OK, check that voltage between "A3" circuit is battery voltage with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. Radiator cooling fan relay No.3 check
Check radiator cooling fan relay No.3. Testing and Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Replace radiator cooling fan relay No.3.
4. Radiator cooling fan relay No.3 drive circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01" and "E01" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "B3" circuit: less than 1
Resistance between "B3" circuit and ground: infinity
Resistance between "B3" circuit terminal and other terminal at radiator cooling fan relay No.3 connector: infinity
Voltage of "B3" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
