P0335
DTC P0335
DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area
Circuit Diagram
System Description
The CKP sensor located on the cylinder block consists of a signal generator (magnetic sensor) and sensor plate (fixed to crankshaft).
The signal generator generates reference signal by teeth on the sensor plate which turns together with the crankshaft.
Reference Signal
The CKP sensor generates 30 pulses of signals each of which has a different waveform length while the crankshaft makes one full rotation. Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters
Based on CMP sensor signal and CKP sensor signal, ECM judges which cylinder piston is in the compression stroke.
Also, ECM judges engine speed based on CKP sensor signal.
DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
- Be sure to troubleshoot first unexpected DTCs previously detected in "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- Battery voltage >= 10 V
- DTC P0616 or P0617 is not detected.
1) Crank engine for 5 sec.
DTC Troubleshooting
1. Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. DTC check
Check DTC.
Is there DTC(s) other than P0335?
YES
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC(s).
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. CKP sensor power supply circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect connector from CKP sensor.
Check for proper terminal connection to CKP sensor connector.
If connections are OK, push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check that "B1" circuit is battery voltage.
Is it good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. CKP sensor signal circuit and ground circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01" and "E01" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "B2" and "B3" circuits: less than 1
Resistance between "B2" circuit and ground: infinity
Resistance between "B2" circuit terminal and each terminal at CKP sensor connector: infinity
Resistance between "B3" circuit terminal and each terminal at CKP sensor connector: infinity
Voltage of "B2" and "B3" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
5. CKP sensor and sensor plate check
Check CKP sensor and sensor plate.
CKP sensor: CKP Sensor Inspection
Sensor plate: Sensor Plate Inspection
Are they in good condition?
YES
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Replace defective parts.
