DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".

- 9 V < Battery voltage < 16 V


1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2) Run engine at idle speed for 1 min. or more.

DTC Troubleshooting



1. Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. HO2S heater power supply circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect connector from HO2S.
Check for proper terminal connection to HO2S.
If connections are OK, push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check that voltage between "A1" circuit and ground: battery voltage.
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts or wire harness.
3. HO2S heater drive circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check the following points.
Resistance of "A2" circuit: less than 1
Resistance between "A2" circuit and ground: infinity
Resistance between "A2" circuit terminal and each terminal at HO2S connector: infinity
Voltage of "A2" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. HO2S check
Check HO2S heater. HO2S On-Vehicle Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Replace HO2S. Service and Repair
