DTC 16
POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING SYSTEM: C1516/16: Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Incomplete
C1516/16 - Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Incomplete
DESCRIPTION
This DTC does not indicate a malfunction. The power steering ECU outputs this DTC when it determines that the torque sensor zero point calibration has not been completed successfully.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

12. CONFIRM DTC
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
HINT
The steering column assembly must be replaced if C1516/16 is still output even after the torque sensor zero point calibration is performed 3 times.
B -- END
A -- REPLACE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY Removal
