WIPER / WASHER: WIPER SWITCH: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER
NOTICE:
Removing the steering column lower cover in the incorrect order will cause the steering column lower cover to break.
(a) Release the tilt lever.
(b) Push the right and left sides of the steering column lower cover, and disengage the 2 claws.
NOTICE:
Completely disengage the claws.
(c) Insert your fingers into the tilt lever opening of the steering column lower cover and disengage the claw.
HINT
Open the claw to disengage it.
(d) Turn the handle 90° to the right, disengage the right claw using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, and pull the steering column lower cover as shown by the arrow.

(e) Turn the handle 90° to the left, disengage the left claw using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, and pull and remove the steering column lower cover as shown by the arrow.
2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER
(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the steering column upper cover.
3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connectors.
(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the wiper switch.
