K41B CVT: SHIFT LEVER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

2. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Move the shift lever to N.

(b) Disconnect the cable end from the shift lever.





(c) Rotate the nut counterclockwise 180°, and while supporting the nut, separate the transmission control cable from the shift lever plate.

NOTICE:
Do not rotate the nut excessively. If the nut is rotated too far, the internal spring will be damaged and the transmission control cable will be unusable.

3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Separate the 2 connectors from the shift lever.





(b) Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the instrument panel wire from the shift lever.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever.





4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the shift lever knob from the shift lever.
