Removal





K41B CVT: OIL PAN: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

2. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

(a) Using a socket hexagon wrench (6 mm), remove the drain plug and gasket and drain the fluid.





(b) Using a socket hexagon wrench (6 mm), remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube and drain the fluid.

(c) Using a socket hexagon wrench (6 mm), install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube.

Torque : 0.8 Nm (8.2 kgf-cm, 7 in-lbf)

(d) Install a gasket and temporarily tighten the drain plug with a socket hexagon wrench (6 mm).

HINT
Because the drain plug will be removed again, the gasket can be reused at this time.

3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt from the CVT.





(b) Remove the 15 bolts and the transaxle oil pan.





(c) Remove the transaxle oil pan gasket and 2 oil cleaner magnets from the oil pan.

NOTICE:
* Remove any metal particles and clean sludge from the inside of the oil pan.
* Remove all metal particles from the oil cleaner magnet.
