Installation





REAR SUSPENSION: REAR COIL SPRING: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING

(a) Install the lower coil spring insulator onto the rear axle beam.

(b) Install the upper coil spring insulator so that its gap fits onto the end of rear coil spring.

(c) Install the rear coil spring onto the rear axle beam.

NOTICE:
The paint mark of the rear coil spring should be towards the underside and rear side of the vehicle.

2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

(a) Provisionally install the shock absorber (lower side) with the bolt and nut to the axle beam.

3. INSTALL REAR FLOOR PANEL BRACE LH

(a) Install the rear floor panel brace LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 30 Nm (307 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL REAR FLOOR PANEL BRACE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

5. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH

(a) Connect the rear flexible hose LH onto the axle beam with a new clip.

(b) Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, connect the rear No. 4 brake tube to rear flexible hose LH while holding the rear flexible hose LH with a wrench.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

6. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

7. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

(a) Install the skid control sensor wire onto the axle beam with the bolt and the nut.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the skid control sensor wire connector.





HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

8. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

11. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR AXLE BEAM ASSEMBLY Installation

12. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY Installation

13. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM

Service and Repair

14. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

15. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Rear Wheel Alignment

16. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
