SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.

1. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Connect the front passenger airbag variable vent hole squib connector and install the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

(b) Push in the locking button.

NOTICE:
Lock the locking button securely.

(c) Connect the 2 front passenger airbag squib connectors.

NOTICE:
Match the color of the connector of the instrument panel wire assembly with that of the connector of the front passenger assembly and install the airbag connector.

(d) Push in the locking button.

NOTICE:
Lock the locking button securely.

2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 2 screws.

(b) Install the wire harness onto the claw of the instrument panel.

3. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
