Removal

1NR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. DISCONNECT NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

(a) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.





(b) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.





3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.





4. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the water by-pass hose assembly from the throttle with motor body assembly.





5. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector of the throttle with motor body assembly.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle with motor body assembly from the upper intake manifold sub-assembly.





NOTICE:
If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

(c) Remove the gasket from the upper intake manifold sub-assembly.
