1NR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 compression springs, and disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 compression springs, and remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.

4. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GASKET (for Front Side)

5. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GASKET (for Rear Side)

6. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, the nut and the manifold stay.





7. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 2 nuts, the bolt and the No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator.





8. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts, the 2 nuts and the exhaust manifold converter.





9. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

10. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, the nut and the No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.





11. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and the No. 3 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
