1NR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

2. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 V-RIBBED (COOLER COMPRESSOR TO CRANKSHAFT PULLEY) BELT Removal

6. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V-RIBBED BELT Removal

7. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY ASSEMBLY





(a) Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.

(b) Remove the crankshaft pulley from the crankshaft.

8. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL





(a) Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, pry out the timing chain cover oil seal.

NOTICE:
* Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole.
* After removing, check the crankshaft for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
