Installation





1NR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

(a) Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain cover oil seal.

NOTICE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain cover oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.





SST : 09223-22010

Oil seal tap in depth:

-0.5 to 1.0 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0394 in.)

NOTICE:
* Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.
* Wipe off extra grease from the crankshaft.

2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley, and then slide on the crankshaft pulley.

SST : 09960-10010

09962-01000

09963-01000

(b) Using SST, install the crankshaft pulley bolt.

Torque : 128 Nm (1305 kgf-cm, 94 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V-RIBBED BELT Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 V-RIBBED (COOLER COMPRESSOR TO CRANKSHAFT PULLEY) BELT Installation

5. INSPECT FAN AND GENERATOR V-RIBBED BELT Testing and Inspection

6. INSPECT NO. 1 V-RIBBED (COOLER COMPRESSOR TO CRANKSHAFT PULLEY) BELT Testing and Inspection

7. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
