Installation





SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.

NOTICE:
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when installing the front seat.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH





NOTICE:
* Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(a) Insert the 2 location pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the rearmost position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.

(b) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(c) Move the front seat to the foremost position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.

(d) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the rear side.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(e) Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.

HINT
If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, loosen the bolts and adjust the seat tracks.

(f) Connect the buckle switch connector.

(g) Connect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(h) Connect the front seat side airbag connector.

(i) Engage the front seat wire clamp.

NOTICE:
* Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(a) Insert the 2 location pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the rearmost position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.

(b) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(c) Move the front seat to the foremost position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.

(d) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the rear side.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(e) Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.

HINT
If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, loosen the bolts and adjust the seat tracks.

(f) Connect the buckle switch connector.

(g) Connect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(h) Connect the front seat side airbag connector.

(i) Engage the front seat wire clamp.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

4. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
