Installation





2AR-FE STARTING: STARTER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the starter with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the starter connector.

(c) Connect the starter wire and install the nut.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(d) Close the terminal cap.

2. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER

(a) Install the front battery carrier with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 19 Nm (189 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

4. INSTALL BATTERY

5. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR

6. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP

(a) Attach the hook of the battery clamp to the front battery bracket.





(b) Partially tighten the nut and temporarily install the bolt.

(c) Adjust the battery clamp position.

(d) Tighten the nut and bolt.

for bolt - Torque : 17 Nm (168 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

for nut - Torque : 3.5 Nm (36 kgf-cm, 31 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
