SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) Removal

3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH Removal

5. REMOVE JACK ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

8. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Removal

11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) When removing the front seat outer belt RH:

Remove the separate type rear seatback assembly RH Removal.

12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Partially remove the front door opening weatherstrip LH so that the front quarter trim panel LH and upper center pillar garnish LH can be removed Removal.

14. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor from the vehicle body.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts.





(c) Detach the clip and guide and remove the upper center pillar garnish LH.

(d) Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the hole of the upper center pillar garnish LH.





(e) Pull the lock plate to release the connector lock.

(f) Disconnect the pretensioner connector from the front seat outer belt retractor.

NOTICE:
When handling the pretensioner connector, take care not to damage the pretensioner wire harness.

(g) Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor from the vehicle body.

(h) Remove the 2 bolts.

(i) Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt LH.
