DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU receives a door open or closed signal from each door courtesy light switch.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List Interior Lighting System.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition column.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
*1: for LH
*2: for RH
(a) Disconnect the 2A*1 or 2D*2 instrument panel junction block connector.
(b) Disconnect the H1*1 or J1*2 front door courtesy light switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
